LATEST NEWS FROM RBA - 22nd August - Singapore Champion BETTER THAN EVER wins Jumbo Jet Trophy (Group 3) at Kranji to remain undefeated after 10 starts. His dam SONGFEST was originally purchased off the track through Randwick Bloodstock. 5th August - we have a large number of stallion shareholder nominations listed for sale. Please visit our Fillies and Mares For Sale page if you are looking to purchase a quality mare before the start of the covering season. 9th July - Australian bred STARSPANGLEDBANNER triumphs again in England, this time winning the Group 1 July Cup at Newmarket. Now the highest rated turf sprinter in the World. Another Australian bred horse ALVERTA finishes 3rd in the same race. 19th June - Australian bred sprinter STARSPANGLEDBANNER follows in his father CHOISIR'S footsteps by winning Group 1 Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot in England. 31st May - Congratulations to Andrew & Lasca Bowcock from Brisbane. They purchased the mare MINI TALES (in foal to FASTNET ROCK) from Randwick Bloodstock in February for $200,000. At today's Magic Millions Broodmare Sale they sold her for $330,000. 27th May - Congratulations to Des Saint from Adelaide. In 2009 Des purchased the mares RETROSPECTIVE (in foal to CHURCHILL DOWNS) and BEAUJOLAIS (in foal to LION HEART) for $12,500 and $17,500 respectively from Randwick Bloodstock. At todays Magic Millions Weanling Sale, the resulting foals sold for $46,000 and $43,000. 15th Mar - Congratulations to Patinack Farm on the Group 1 VRC Australian Guineas win of ROCK CLASSIC. Patinack Farm purchased ROCK CLASSIC's dam MIDNIGHT BALLET through Randwick Bloodstock in Sept 2008. 8th Mar - Regular visitors to the RBA website may remember we listed the mare FRANKISH in mid 2008, in-foal to O'REILLY, for NZ$60,000. At the Melbourne Yearling Sale last week, the O'REILLY colt that FRANKISH was carrying, sold for $170,000!!! 4th Feb - Congratulations to Alan Bray (NSW), Australian Thoroughbred Farm (VIC) and Alan Jackson (NZ). These breeders made an excellent profit on their 2010 Karaka yearlings from mares purchased through RBA. 10th Oct - Congratulations to Australian Thoroughbred Farm. RBA purchased BE MY PRINCESS (in foal to DANASINGA, with a DEHERE filly at foot) for brothers Carlo & Eddie Deluise and partner Joe Panzera at the 2008 Inglis Easter Broodmare Sale for $100,000. Today her 3yo filly FLYING PRINCESS won a Listed Race in South Africa at only her third start. 26th Sep - Congratulations to Peter Taylor and Richard Pegum. They purchased the mare SOVERINA through RBA and bred MR CLANGTASTIC, a winner of the AJC Colin Stephen Hcp (Group 3) at Randwick today. 18th Jul - Congratulations to Michael Collins. Michael purchased the mare DYNAMIC LADY through RBA, and subsequently bred and races her very promising 3yo AT THE CREASE, winner of his past two Melbourne starts incl today at Caufield. 28th Jun - Congratulations to Darryl Foster, Barry Martin and Beverly Duke of Jonel Park Thoroughbreds, Allora, Queensland. They purchased broodmare prospect CHANGE OF CONTROL through RBA. Her first foal is boom Macau 3yo GOOD CONTROL (by FASLIYEV), winner of the Group 3 Lisboa Prelude (1200m) at Taipa today, and now undefeated in 7 starts to date. 17th Jun - Congratulations to the connections of Royal Ascot Group 1 Kings Stand Stakes (5f) winner SCENIC BLAST. The 4th Australian winner of this race in the past 7 years. Further evidence that Australia is the world leader when it comes to producing the best sprinters. 14th Jun - Congratulations to Greg Rosbrook. Greg purchased the mare THE SKY MOVED (in foal to PINS) through RBA in 2006. Today her son COLOURLAND SUPREME won the RM$1 million (A$352,000) Group 1 Piala Emas Sultan Selangor (2000m) at Selangor by 2.5 lengths. 4th Apr - Congratulations to Carl Holt, CJN Bloodstock, Sydney. Carl purchased NANCY ELEANOR off the track through RBA. Today her 2nd foal PHELAN READY won the $3.5 million Group 1 STC Golden Slipper Stakes. PHELAN READY has joined DANCE HERO as the only 2yo's to win the Magic Millions/Golden Slipper double. 10th Jan - Congratulations to Carl Holt, CJN Bloodstock, Sydney. Carl purchased NANCY ELEANOR off the track through Randwick Bloodstock. Today on the Gold Coast, her second foal PHELAN READY won the $2 million GTC Magic Millions 2yo Classic.
